Our January FFA meeting was based around service and team work. FFA promotes these two item very highly in our organization. Our members learned about several opportunities in which they can get involved in our community including a walk for breast cancer research which our officers will participate in. They were able to learn these through an interactive memory game.
We also set up an obstacle course outside of our greenhouse and nursery area for our members to navigate in teams. Our members paired up with one being blindfolded and another being the guide who was not able to talk. All of our members were able to successfully complete the obstacle course through the use of teamwork. We even let the State FFA Officers have a shot in completing the obstacle course.
After the obstacle course, we went inside and ate pizza and socialized with each other. We would like to thanks all of the members who came out to the meeting as well as the State FFA Officers, Taylor Kirby and Zachary Tucker. I would also like to encourage all of members to come out to our February Meeting which is set for February 24th during National FFA week! Bring your friends!
