On September, 13th, 2012, two groups from Paradise Valley FFA traveled to the west valley to attend two separate conferences being held that day.
First, we had a group of first-year agriscience students attend the 2012 Arizona FFA Greenhand Conference at Millennium High School.
The Arizona FFA Greenhand Conference is usually the first FFA event that an Arizona FFA member ever attends. It provides them with an introduction to the FFA from current and past state FFA officers. They are able to meet other Greenhand members from several other chapters. Often times, the friends that they meet at this conference, they will carry with them throughout high school and beyond.
This is the first time in several years that the Paradise Valley FFA Chapter was able to attend and we are very grateful. Thanks to WestMEC, we were able to send nearly twenty Agriscience 1-2 students to attend this conference.
We also sent our Chapter Officer Team to the 360 Degrees of Leadership Conference for training and development as FFA Officers.
