Today Paradise Valley FFA members competed in two contests at the Chandler High School Invitational.

We had 3 students compete in the FFA Creed Speaking contest for first-year Freshman students. In this contest students memorize and recite the 5-paragraph FFA Creed in front of judges and are questioned about it. This contest teaches the students public speaking skills and confidence. Danni Peterson, Josetta Newbury and Russell Miller all competed in the contest. All did well and Danni even received the 8th place prize!!! We are so proud of all of our Greenhands and hope that they continue to do well as they go on to the District and State Creed Speaking competitions!

We also had a team of 6 compete in the Novice Parliamentary Procedure Competition. In this contest students must demonstrate how to effectively conduct a business meeting using the proper rules of Parliamentary Procedure according to Robert's Rules of Order Newly Revised. Our team did very well and even took home the First Place Prize!!!! We are incrediably proud of all of our members and all of their success in their contests! We look forward to competing more this school year!!

We are very excited to kick off FFA this year with our annual Paradise Valley FFA Ice Cream Social!!
Come to Room 10 on Thursday, September 15, 2011 at 2:15pm and join us!!
We will be hanging out, eating Ice Cream, mingling with chapter members and officers.
We will introduce the 2011-2012 Chapter Officer and Greenhand Officers!!!
We hope you can join us!!
